Weekend movies

Just to make this blog a little lighter, I will try to end my weekend writing by my opinions of the 2 movies I watched or tried watching this weekend:

1. Sarkaar Raaj -  Could not watch after 15 minutes. Some people never change and that is good. But Ramu, you please change.

2. Monsoon wedding – I loved it because of the reason it is an “it is” movie rather than an “it should” movie.

Everything is illuminated

One movie I watched of late and loved is “Everything is illuminated’’ by Live Schreiber. This is a marvelous directorial debut of Schreiber who I think is a better Director than he is an actor. The movie will take you, both visually and intellectually to places you have never been. The movie is outrageously awesome. Simple yet profound. The last words of the movie ‘Everything is illuminated in the light of the past’ will stay with me for a long long time.
